Definite steps were taken this week to organize a corporation for the purpose of building, equipping and operating a bowling alley in Brigham City, it was announced by Bert Christensen, chairman of the group.
The decision was reached after survey reports were heard by members of a special committee elected recently at a public gathering of bowling enthusiasts. Reporting to the group was C. W. Claybaugh who explained the incorporation procedure and Ralph Williams who told od several possible building sites that had not been surveyed. Al Cazier reported that he and others had found many local people who were interested in investing in such a venture while Ray Reeder assured the group that he had listed enough bowlers to guarantee three leagues. Gene Davis found nearly unanimous reception from local business firms who would sponsor teams in the league and Jeet Yagi reported on the methods used by an Ogden bowling lane to finance the business. Following the reports, the group voted unanimously to take immediate steps to incorporate. Walter G. Mann, local attorney was named to proceed with the necessary steps.
